Barhop Social is a platform designed to assist users in locating friends and discovering special offers at nearby bars. Its functionality emphasizes user privacy and targeted communication with bar establishments.

The platform limits location sharing to when users are at a bar, lasting only up to 10 minutes after departure. This approach aims to balance social connectivity with privacy considerations, reducing the risk of losing track of friends or sharing precise whereabouts continuously.

Participating bars can publish weekly drink specials and send push notifications for promotional flash sales directly to users' devices. This feature provides an avenue for bars to engage customers with timely offers.

Features for Users include:

<li>Add friends via QR code for quick connections.</li>
<li>Locate friends in real-time, specifically when they are at a bar or barhopping.</li>
<li>Activate privacy mode to restrict location visibility solely to selected favorites.</li>
<li>Enable ghost mode to prevent anyone from viewing your location.</li>
<li>Create a temporary group chat for the night, which automatically deletes within 24 hours.</li>
<li>Browse nearby bar specials and flash sales within the Feed tab.</li>
<li>Participate in open discussions on the Feed tab to coordinate plans with friends.</li>
<li>Submit requests to add new bars or districts to the platform.</li>
<li>Report outdated information for correction.</li>

For Bars and Staff, the platform offers:

<li>Posting weekly specials for user discovery.</li>
<li>Updating profile information and images.</li>
<li>For subscribed members: access to analytics such as:</li>
<ul>
<li>The number of user clicks your bar receives.</li>
<li>The current number of users onsite.</li>
<li>The number of users within a three-mile radius.</li>
<li>Total nightly visitors entering your establishment.</li>
<li>The number of potential patrons who pass by without entering.</li>
</ul>
<li>Sending targeted push notifications for flash sales, such as limited-time drink promotions, to attract nearby customers.</li>
